When it comes to dining at Walt Disney World with kids there are special children’s menus available for them to order from. But how vegan-friendly are the options?
KIDS DINING AT DISNEY WORLD
Disney World offers children's menus with options specifically catering for kids. Disney breaks down their dining categories based on age.
Children aged 9 and under are able to order off of children’s menus and will be offered their own types of kid-friendly cuisines.
Children aged 10 and over are charged adult prices at buffets, family-style dining and table service restaurants. If they aren’t a fan of any of the options on the adult’s menu some restaurants will be able to make adult sized portions of kid’s menu items, but this is at the discretion of each restaurant and you may be charged for an adult portion.
At quick service locations anyone of any age can order off of the children’s menu.
VEGAN OPTIONS FOR KIDS
At the present time Disney offers very few options specifically listed as plant-based on children's menus. We are starting to see plant-based options appearing on some menus at restaurants such as Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Hollywood Studios and Tiffins Restaurant in Animal Kingdom.
The good news is one of the most iconic Disney meals can be made vegan and is served almost everywhere! The classic Disney breakfast of Mickey Waffles are able to be made vegan on request so your plant-based little ones will be able to indulge in this famous Disney food! Some quick service locations will also have chocolate or vanilla soy milk to add on to your meal.
Another widely served vegan option is Uncrustables. Most quick service restaurants will have Uncrustables on the children’s menu and the great news is the peanut butter and jelly flavoured Uncrustables are vegan! (Unfortunately these are not safe for anyone with a nut allergy). This is a great option for a light bite or small meal.
The best option for vegan families travelling to Disney World is restaurants that offer family-style dining. Here you can all share the same food at these all-you-care-to-enjoy experiences. The best thing is you can keep ordering more of the items you like! Restaurants such as Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom, Biergarten in EPCOT and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge are good choices for this style of meal.
Below we will look at all the vegan options available on the kid's menu and children's meals that can be modified to be vegan.

A HANDY TIP!
Vegan options specifically for children are still few and far between but luckily there is a way to still give your kids delicious vegan foods whilst at Disney World.
An adult portion shared between children is a great idea and gives so many more choices as almost every restaurant at Disney World now has at least one vegan option on the menu!
Plus children aged under 3 eat free at buffets and family-style meals if they eat off of their parents’ plate which is fantastic news!
We are starting to slowly see more plant-based options created specifically for children appearing on Disney World menus. Although there isn't a huge selection available I hope this guide has helped you find the restaurants that have delicious vegan meals waiting for your little ones!
